With this video we sought to capture the urban energy, density and vibrant shopping culture in Hong Kong’s Mong Kok district. We wanted to emphasize the popularity of Mong Kok with young shoppers and tourists and also the 24-hour nature of the shopping culture there.

The International Doc Challenge is a timed filmmaking competition where filmmakers have 5 days to make a short non-fiction film (4-7 minutes). The top 12 films screen at the Hot Docs festival in Canada, Big Sky and Silverdocs festivals in the US. Our film Cursed Blessings was selected as a finalist and won the Best Cinematography award.
